The Floater

As players skills improve and they move up to higher levels of competition more difficult shots can begin to be added to their repertoire. 

Pass thru Pressure to 1 on 1

This is a great drill with lots of benefits including passing through pressure, getting open vs. denial defence and 1 on 1 play.

Wolfpack Shooting Drill

This is a simple shooting drill that BC U15 Girls' Coach Scott Reeves used at a tryout camp and combines 3 pt. shots and 15-18 ft. shots.  

Storm Shooting

This is a drill we used a lot with the Canadian Women's Senior National Team. The players loved it; it created a pressure free throw shooting situation and gave us a lot of 3 point shooting practice.

5 Ball Shooting

When using this popular shooting drill, Scott Reeves, the former Senior Girls' Coach at Brookswood and now Head Coach at Thompson Rivers U. sets the goal of 58 baskets in 3 minutes for his team. 

Knee Bend in Shooting

It is quite common for players to improperly bend at the knees and hips when shooting the basketball.  This shooting flaw can be very evident in free throw shooting because it is often done more slowly.
